Rural Gaucho Activities

At Estancia Don Joaquín, rural life isn’t a scheduled activity—it’s part of the natural rhythm of each day. Guests have the opportunity to experience gaucho traditions firsthand, sharing moments with the people who live and work on the land.

Depending on the season and the needs of the estancia, guests may ride alongside our gauchos to help herd cattle, check the ranch, or participate in everyday tasks of rural life. There are also opportunities to learn traditional skills such as branding calves, working with cattle from horseback, and using the lasso, all at your own pace and under the guidance of experienced local gauchos.
Note: Since rural activities with the gauchos are part of the daily life at the estancia, they are included during your stay. Participation will always depend on the natural rhythm of the ranch, the day’s tasks, and each guest’s personal preference.
