Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider, everyone can enjoy the experience of horseback riding at our estancia. Our 800 hectares of land and 150 horses offer plenty of variety to explore the land from the saddle.
The Gaucho Trail is a seven-day horseback journey across the vast landscapes of Corrientes, exploring more remote regions that differ from the land surrounding the estancia, and offering an opportunity to spot an even wider spread of wildlife.
Among the estancia’s activities, you will have the opportunity to experience traditional Argentine ranch work alongside the peones correntinos. Learn how to herd cattle, brand calves, and use a lasso, all under the guidance of experienced local gauchos.
To the hosts and staff, your warmth and kindness turned this from a holiday into something truly unforgettable. You have created a place that reconnects people to nature, to each other, and to themselves. This experience will stay with me long after the saddles are put away and the dust has settled. Please give lots of kisses to Carpincho for me!

We had an amazing time at the ranch and really didn't want to leave. Josephina welcomed us and gave us a fantastic room overlooking the horses and gauchos. Hearing the sound of their hooves galloping past our room was wonderful and we loved it. The food is incredible, with everything you could want at breakfast, lunch, and a three-course dinner. We were completely hooked on the gaucho bread! Traveling through wetlands and lagoons twice a day with the wonderful scenery and wildlife made our vacation so special. Our highlight was when we helped move the cattle to a corral and then to a chute for tick spraying. This ranch is for everyone, from beginners to expert riders. Angie and Diego are the kindest people who sorted out some travel issues we had due to our mistake and made sure we got to the airport. Fantastic memories that will last forever, or until we return.

We were meant to stay three nights, but we kept extending our stay because we fell so in love with this place. We had SO much fun. I’ll never forget Patri’s cooking and the incredible sunset rides. Already booking for next year!

During your stay, you'll experience true craftsmanship. You'll see it in the owners, in their children, but also in the young gauchos. These incredibly talented young men will take you on a journey through the Argentine landscape. They'll show you how to ride, how to herd, how to lasso, but above all, how to enjoy yourself. I've never seen anything like it. Although my Spanish is absolutely terrible and not all the gauchos speak perfect English, a few words, hand gestures, and smiles were all it took. Enough to show appreciation for a life so different from my own, and enough to see how much they value life's basics: fresh air, nature, animals, and companionship. During my stay at Estancia Don Joaquín, the owners, guests, and gauchos felt like one big family. Although your stay will be temporary, I guarantee it will be hard to say goodbye.

The attention to detail and effort the team put into every aspect of my stay was truly remarkable. I was able to ride twice a day, work with the gauchos, go fishing, take an Argentinian cooking class, and also switch off and relax. Angie, Fabian, and the team went above and beyond to ensure I had a perfect week at the Estancia. The horses were beautiful to ride, the food was exceptional (three-course lunches and dinners), and my room was very comfortable and sparkling clean. The service was impeccable—stay at Don Joaquín if you want to understand what 5-star hospitality is all about.

We had a fantastic 8-day stay. While the focus was certainly on the superb horseback riding, every aspect of our stay was exceptional. Thank you to the entire family for making us feel so welcome. Argentinian barbecue, fishing, birdwatching, herding cattle and horses, cooking lessons, cocktails, wine tasting—all in a wonderfully luxurious setting and among such kind hosts. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The riding was incredible, but what really made the stay special was the people. The gauchos are incredible and Fabi's perfect English made everything so easy. Riding alongside them while asking millions of questions was definitely the highlight of our trip!

I can't recommend this place highly enough. I went with my daughter for the long-distance 'Gaucho Trail' and it was a fabulous adventure. The hospitality is second to none. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere extremely friendly and jovial, and the wildlife was breathtaking. I can't thank Anji, Diego, and José enough for their caring, warm, and generous spirit.
