Birdwatching

Birdwatching is one of the most special experiences at Estancia Don Joaquín. Angie Solanet, owner of the estancia, is passionate about bird observation and enjoys sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with guests.

Birdwatching activities take place across different ecosystems of Corrientes and can be enjoyed by 4×4 vehicle, walking, canoe, motorboat, but even free of charge during your horse riding trecks (especially The Gaucho Trail)!

Even if you are not an experienced birder, the estancia has an extensive library dedicated to Argentine bird species, allowing guests to learn and enjoy the experience at their own pace. Years of life in the countryside, together with the contributions of ornithologists and birdwatchers who visit the estancia, enrich the knowledge shared with guests.
The region is home to an extraordinary variety of birdlife, and the list of recorded species continues to grow every season. It is home to over 350 bird species, including the iconic jabiru stork, rare yellow cardinal, and the remarkable strange-tailed tyrant, making it one of the most important birdwatching destinations in South America.
